Episode 38.6

I will continue to post this blog from this main laptop for a while. I decided it was best to just use the same old format that I’ve been using in the past while putting Jane the Virgin on my laptop. Another thing to note about me watching TV is that I will try my best to stay caught up on Riverdale online since Luke Perry is in some unaired episodes and I’ll want to see what happens with his character that is named Fred Andrews in the rest of the episodes.

Let’s get to the idols from Cagayan. Garrett found one on day one and was voted out without playing it. I don’t think that his idol reentered the game. Tony found another idol. L J found a different one. In a moment that must have been funny based on what I can remember, they both played their idols on the other person at the same tribal council. Ultimately, both were wasted.

Spencer found an idol and also wound up wasting it on himself. Tony then found another, regular idol and a super idol that could be played after votes were read. He used the regular one when he could last play it. He never needed the super idol and made it seem like it had powers that could get it to last longer than it really did. This might have helped him in the game.

Based on promos for the episode, there’s a good chance that just one person is getting back in the game at this point and it is unknown until I watch the episode what will happen to the others. But I need to think about who on Extinction Island has the best chance of getting back in the game.

I think that Reem’s story is just about done. She got to gloat when people she didn’t joined her on the island. I’ll admit that she has a better story this season because of it. But I’d have to say that she might not have that much of a chance winning her way back in the game.

Keith hasn’t done much outside of finding an advantage. Other than that, his chances of lasting do not seem likely to me either. He hasn’t been shown as much as he could have been compared to others and the biggest hint that he probably wouldn’t last might have been the fact that he was the only person shown thus far who might not have gone to the Edge of Extinction anyways.

Chris has the least in terms of confessionals going into this episode and might not seem like he would be the person coming back into the game as a result. He could be since he would be more like to win the challenge to get back into the game, but I’d say that he doesn’t have enough of a story.

Rick’s chances of getting back into the game seem the most likely going into this episode. I mean, he does have more confessionals than anyone who wasn’t voted out. But it still might not be him as there could be other players that could get in and he could just be a red herring.

Aubry may be the person that most people would want back in the game, but I’m not sure that I would care that much one way or the other. Maybe she could last. It would be interesting to see if she would be able to still use her advantage or idol still if she got back in. But I think that her edit of being a person who does not have things go her way might stay intact. She seems to be doing worse and worse each time she plays the game. Not most people are like that.

Wendy is the only person left who could get back in. She is probably the one that others least want to get back in the game due to all her crazy antics. I think that her time is probably done as I can’t see more to her story in the end. At least she got to spend so little time on Extinction Island.

Now before I get to the rest of the post, I might as well rank the players based on what I think their odds of getting back into the game are. From most likely to get back in the game to least, I rank them: Rick, Aubry, Reem, Chris, Keith, and Wendy. We’ll see what happens next. But enough of my ramblings.

In the first segment of the show, the people in the game look at what is going on after seeing that the latest person voted out of the game was Wendy. Gavin was excited about the merge that now happens. Jeff then brings in the people from Extinction Island. He explains some of what went on there for the next part of the game. Chris has an advantage in the challenge in form of practice, but Keith gives him a disadvantage as well in the form of knots.

The challenge happens and they put part of the jail break challenge in it. Aubry takes a lead, but it is not long before others catch up with her. Wendy’s tics seem to affect her in the challenge. Rick wins the challenge and gets back in the game. He is pumped about his win and joining the merge tribe. Jeff talks to the other players who lost the challenge. He gives them another decision to make. Everyone goes back to Extinction Island when Jeff gives them the choice to. But the other players don’t know this.

In the second segment of the show, the merged tribe gets to their feast. Kelley is upset that Rick won his way back into the game.  Also, I’m not calling him Devons. Julie is trying to relate to Rick. Back at the not so secret island, Keith and Wendy decide to leave the game. Now do they get to be on the jury then? I guess that their games are over. Why’d they choose to go back to Extinction Island? Kelley wants to work with Joe or start a woman’s alliance. They want to vote out Rick. But Julie doesn’t think that they should do this. She wants to turn on Kelley and Lauren instead as a result.

In the third segment of the show, Rick notices something in his bag. He has to split up an immunity idol and give half to another player. If he and this other player make it past the next vote, the idol can be used at future tribal councils. He decides to give the other half to David. We then get to the immunity challenge in the game. Julie wins the challenge. Kelley worries about the vote, but knows that she has an immunity idol she can still use.

In the fourth segment of the show, Julie talks about feeling secure because of her win. She wants to vote out Kelley and is trying to rally the vote that way. Rick learns about some of the plan and that people want to keep him safe. David still wants to get rid of Kelley as usual. Joe is worried that he’s in danger. Ron doesn’t want to work with Joe. Ron tries to get Joe voted out. Victoria thinks that Kelley is the safer option and is worried that the vote might not go the right way. Making the right decision is important. I wonder what this obvious hint is about.

In the fifth segment of the show, some people attend their first tribal council. I think this is the first time that this has happened in a season that started with just two tribes. They learn that people who are on Extinction Island still are part of the jury. Those people are Reem, Chris, and Aubry. They can potentially get back in the game. Kama was glad that they were merging. Ron likes their tribe. Kelley thinks that she is in the minority. The dynamics of the tribes are different. Victoria thinks that Rick isn’t a threat and that it would be mean to send him right back to Extinction Island.

Victoria wants to point out what the right type of threat is. Joe didn’t do much and Rick points this. Joe thinks that he is strong. Ron thinks that his tribe has the power. This could go many ways. The votes are cast next. No one plays an idol. Why did David get votes? Joe is voted out. He takes the torch and goes to Extinction Island while complaining about his tribe.

On the next Survivor, Ron thinks that he is in control, but he might not be. It looks like there could be cracks in the Rick and David alliance. There also appears to be a medical problem at the challenge. Joe then gets to Extinction Island and talks about what happened when he got there.

Total confessional count: Lauren- 8, Julie- 8, Kelley- 17, Gavin- 5, David- 13, Joe- 7, Victoria- 10, Julia- 3, Ron- 4, Wardog- 9, Eric- 5, Aurora- 2; Reem- 10, Keith- 12, Chris- 7, Rick- 19, Aubry- 11, Wendy- 11. New confessionals this episode: Julie- 4, Kelley- 3, Gavin- 2, David- 0, Joe- 1, Victoria- 1, Julia- 1, Ron- 1, Wardog- 0, Eric- 0, Aurora- 0, Lauren- 0. Extinction Island confessional count: Reem- 0, Keith- 1, Chris- 1, Rick- 4, Aubry- 2, Wendy- 1.

Joe had only one new confessional this episode and that was when he got to Extinction Island. That is the same number as Victoria, Julia, and Ron. The only people lower are Wardog, Eric, Aurora, Lauren, and David with zero. The highest is a tie between Julie and Rick. Keith and Wendy also had just one total confessional that was new this episode. Keith had twelve total and Wendy had eleven. Wendy has the same number as Aubry does. The only people higher than them are Kelley, David, and Rick with Rick as the highest with nineteen. Everyone else is lower with Aurora as the lowest with two. There’s not much else to say in this post. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode 38.5

I’m still watching through Survivor: Borneo on DVD. Once I’m done with that, I’ll replace it on my list of things to watch with Survivor: Gabon. I can then do posts about that old season like I’ve done with Palau and Borneo in the past. I still also want Survivor: Blood versus Water to watch again. If I do an old season of this show in posts, the posts would be on Sundays. If I do two old seasons, one would be on Sundays and the next would be on Fridays. This would happen instead of random posts should the show be on hiatus and in addition to regular posts should the show be on as usual.

Something that I know for sure is that if I can’t blog about an episode when I normally would want to, I might have to post it when I have the other ones scheduled. They would then take a break as I get to the rest of the current season and only get to posting whatever I missed once the next hiatus starts. This is part of the reason why the two delayed posts from last season were on Fridays, even if I don’t have an old season posting there now anyways. I’m still treating it like I could be doing that. Another potential issue would be other blogs affecting when I post things. I’ll explain if I share posts later. I might do that on Fridays right now, but only if I feel like I should.

Let’s get to the idols from Blood versus Water. This season had many people flat out denying such an advantage when they could have gotten one. While winners of Redemption Island duels could give clues to these people still in the game, they took to burning these clues unread. But idols did make some of an impact on the season. Tyson found an idol and wasted it. He then found another idol and gave it to his friend Gervase on the last tribal where idols could be played. Gervase played the idol, but it was also a waste, although it wouldn’t have been if their ally flipped on them.

I still don’t know why Survivor has taken to NEVER advertising when they do two hour episodes. It would be nice of them to do a clearly labeled promo saying such a thing was happening. Sometimes they say that two tribal councils are going on, but most of us know that they can fit that many into one, hour long episode. I can understand why this is the week that they are combining them into one. I also know that I hope that too much of my next day isn’t taken up watching this show. But enough of my ramblings.

In the first segment of the show, we see people at Extinction Island. Rick talks about how the others at the island are glad that he failed in the game. We don’t get much there. We then get to the tribes at the next challenge. It is a reward challenge. They have to be on the lookout? That is what bolo means, right? I thought that’s what it meant. I wonder why everyone has to get a bolo caught. That seems unlike most of the challenges. Comma came in first. Manu comes in second. Lesu loses again. Kelley is upset that they can’t win anything. SPOILER. They will win something as I saw who sent to tribal council when I was rewinding the tape. END SPOILER.

In the second segment of the show, we get back to Comma after their win. Julia talks about their streak of winning challenges and wanting to get rid of Joe. Joe wants to get rid of his challenge beast stigma. A lot of people want to get rid of Joe, but Ron is starting to have second thoughts since he’s a provider. I would say that Richard Hatch played that role perfectly, which is why you should be a bit wary of it.

Eric on his tribe talks about being really hungry. They talk about the chickens again that are free range. I do think that some free range chickens would be in more danger of getting run over. Aubry wants to play the game, but that is a bad thing to say at times as you can often wind up being the target when you want to play the game. Victoria wants to put into motion the elimination of Aubry. Aubry believes that Victoria is on her side. David talks about how his tribe is going extinct and that scientists have stopped looking for life on it. He then looks for an idol, but has not found one yet, at least, as far as we can tell. Lauren reminds us that she has an idol. When did this happen? I must have missed this part. Wardog talks about wanting Lauren voted out. Kelley is on board with that.

In the third segment of the show, we go back to Extinction Island and a crate is found. There is a note for each of them. They solve the map. Keith sneaks off and they notice it, quickly following him. It’s dumb that they censor the hole in a hole. They didn’t even include the ass part. Chris tackles Keith. They get sticks and are told to practice it. Rick gets an extra vote to give to whoever goes to the next tribal council which makes me wonder how he’ll know who it is from or what will be known about it.

We then get to the immunity challenge. It seems like Lesu struggles a lot in the challenge, but are able to pull a come from behind second place sort of win after Comma had won the challenge first. They might not have been able to do this without the puzzle being solved first. Victoria talks about still wanting to get rid of Aubry, but she is not sure if she should do it or not.

In the fourth segment of the show, Aubry thinks that the upcoming vote seems easy as she thinks that the vote would be for Wendy. But she questions whether or not they should do it or make some other move in the game. Victoria and Aubry talk to Wendy about voting out a man. Wendy doesn’t seem to be on board with doing anything. Aubry gets the extra vote, but is unsure if she should use it now. I’m a bit surprised it lasts that long and isn’t something she has to use right now. She thinks that things have gone wrong when she has played in the past and she wonders if something will go right.

In the fifth segment of the show, we get to tribal council where there is an evil hand afoot ahead. The people in the game light their torches. Jeff asks Gavin how he thinks the tribal will go. People were all talking about who to get rid of. Wendy is glad that she’s done what she’s done thus far, even if she is the one voted out tonight. Jeff thinks that Aubry could be a target since she’s a returning player. Gavin does think that he knows what to do. Aubry is asked third if she can trust people in the game. If you are the one asked third, you are the likely person getting voted out of the game. No one plays an idol. It is then Aubry that is voted out. She calls them unbelievable players as she is voted out. I wonder if this makes her the first person voted out with both an unused idol and advantage.

Aubry then gets to the choice and takes the no brainer decision to take the boat to Extinction Island. She talks about how she’s voted out in epic JT style embarrassment. She wants to pull herself up from the bottom. We then get to the next challenge. The first returning player has been voted out of the game. It is a reward challenge. Comma comes in first place, thanks to Joe. Manu comes in second place. Kelley talks about how the Comma tribe has basically gotten to pause the game for themselves thus far.

In the sixth segment of the show, we get back to Comma who seems to never lose. They are always just expecting to win the challenge. Joe thinks that the returning players are now seen as threats. He does not have anyone to rely on out here. He gets emotional talking about how he should be adaptable. He then talks to the others about how they should take out the others in the game. Joe thinks that Julia might be a threat, which worries her.

Lauren talks about how upset she is over the game and how the rice makes her sick. Wardog thinks that Lauren should be the next target since she feels so upset and not in the game. Kelley thinks that she should target Wardog and talks to David about getting rid of him. He considers working with her since that might get him to day 39.

In the seventh segment of the show, we return to Extinction Island. They get maps with holes in them. Aubry is confused by all of this. Rick thinks out that there is something by the mask. But Keith is the one who finds it after Reem helps him find it. This leads to a fight with her and Chris. I don’t quite get what Keith’s advantage is, but it is knots that relate to a curse of some sort.

We then get to the immunity challenge. Only one tribe will win immunity and the other two tribes will go to tribal council. But will this be a double tribal council or a joint one? The tribes need the monkey fist to proceed. I thought that item was cursed. It gave you what you wished for in a way that made it not a thing that you wanted anymore. Comma wins the challenge yet again. Lesu and Manu will be going to tribal council. Both tribes will be going to tribal council together, but only one of them will be voted out. David is worried that a tie will happen and they will go to rocks.

In the eighth segment of the show, Eric talks about how anyone could go home. Wendy thinks that they can get David to flip on his tribe. Can they get a returning player to avoid drawing for rocks? Gavin does think that it could go to rocks, even if they don’t want it to. Victoria is willing to vote however to avoid going to rocks. Kelley talks about the best move for them. She doesn’t like how Wardog dictates what the vote should be, but agrees that he has the right idea.

Lauren doesn’t want to go to rocks. But she does have an idol so it might come into play. Wardog looks for an idol. David thinks that this makes him more of a target in the game. Kelley sees something in a tree. She finds an idol and tells Lauren about it. They think that it is likely that either Lauren or Wardog will be the target and they might be willing to flip on Wardog.

In the ninth segment of the show, we get to the tribal council at hand. Will it be as good as when we saw this happen in Game Changers? Both tribes talk about having to stay united. They don’t know what the other tribes are like. Wendy talks about how she had insight into the other tribe and feels like she is in the middle of the situation. There are side conversations going on while everyone is talking about if they should go to rocks or not. David whispers something in Wendy’s ear.

Everyone is ready to vote. Once again, no one plays an idol. The vote is tied between Wendy and Lauren. People whisper in each other’s ears about what to do. Jeff just watches this and doesn’t do a thing as David, I think, calls this the worst cocktail party ever. Wendy is voted out at the revote as the rest of her original tribe flipped on her. That’s good strategy on the other tribe’s part. Wendy takes the torch to the island. This is exactly like Pandora’s Box. No one will decline opening it.

On the next Survivor, the tribes merge and the old contestants come back into the game. Meanwhile, it is time on Extinction Island for them to get back on the boat. I guess we will see what will happen in the future when the next episode happens.

Total confessional count: Victoria- 9, Aubry- 9, Julia- 2, Ron- 3, Wardog- 9, Wendy- 10, Eric- 5, Aurora- 2, Lauren- 8, Julie- 4, Kelley- 14, Gavin- 3, David- 13, Joe- 6; Reem- 10, Keith- 11, Chris- 6, Rick- 15. New confessionals this episode: Aubry- 5, Julia- 2, Ron- 1, Wardog- 2, Wendy- 1, Eric- 2, Aurora- 0, Lauren- 3, Julie- 2, Kelley- 5, Gavin- 1, David- 4, Joe- 2, Victoria- 4. Extinction Island confessional count: Reem- 2, Keith- 3, Chris- 2, Rick- 4.

Let’s see if I can make sense of the whole, current confessional count right now. Aubry had five new confessionals, the same number as Kelley. Everyone else was lower. Wendy had just one confessional new to this episode, the same number as Gavin and Ron. The only person lower than them is Aurora with zero new confessionals.

As for the total confessionals, Aubry has night, the same number as Victoria and Wardog. As for Wendy, she has ten, the same number as Reem. Kelley is the highest of those in the game with fourteen. As for those on Extinction Island, Rick is the highest with fifteen. The lowest is a tie between Julia and Aurora with two each. Some people had more new confessionals just this episode than they have yet to get this game. And what does it say that Rick’s confessional count is so high? Is he coming back into the game? I guess that we’ll have to wait and see.

Just a quick note before I move on to end this post. I’m a bit unsure of what to do regarding some of the schedule that is going on. Jane the Virgin returns next week. I’m wondering if I should put that show on tape with Riverdale while I use my laptop to record Survivor and another laptop to write a blog about it. I could instead record Jane the Virgin on my laptop or try to get the other laptop to record the show so I can put it on this laptop as usual. I’ll probably just stick with what I’ve been doing thus far. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode 38.4

I don’t know how to feel about Wendy yet this season. I may only have special interest in her because she has Tourettes Syndrome like me. I may do some sort of post about it somewhere, but I may have to just do a video about it on my YouTube channel. We’ll see what happens. I’m glad she has such a mild version of it that might not bother her as much as mine does. I’ll have to see her on Rob has a Podcast to see if that topic comes up when she does an interview with him later this season (probably).

The idols from Caramoan got really crazy when they were around. Reynold found an idol, but he did not use it right. After revealing to everyone that he had it, he avoided the vote one night only to play it and waste it the next night. Reynold found another idol and was going to waste it for himself, only Malcolm convinced him to change who he played it on. Malcolm enjoyed the idol then, which was a waste. He did want the idol while he still had another one in play. Malcolm then found a second idol, even though his was still in play.

While I think that the idol play that resulted from Malcolm’s two idols was one of the best tribal councils in history, it remains controversial in the Survivor community. Some thought that things were rigged in some way since an idol doesn’t normally appear when another is still in play. Of course, two season ago in One World, an idol entered the game while another was still in play. Why people never bring that up when complaining about this, I’m not sure. I guess it wouldn’t help their side. What I do know is that Malcolm wasted an idol on himself while saving Eddie with his other idol.

Only one idol entered the game as a result. In yet another controversial move, Erik found an idol and it went straight to Andrea. It seems like she might not have given him much of a choice. Erik wound up out of the game when he was medically evacuated. Andrea’s idol was common knowledge, but she did not play it and was voted out with it in her possession. That’s all the idols from this season. But enough of my ramblings.

In the first segment of the show, Chris arrives at Extinction Island and the others react to his arrival. Reem doesn’t feel sympathy for him. Wendy returns the flint and David found it. Everyone talks about how strange she is and how they feel like she should be voted out. People react to Chris being voted out of the game. We then get to the tribe swap. Wendy is the only one not with her own tribe members. I can recall a switch like this: All-Stars. Everyone but Amber had switched tribes that season. How can a fan boy not remember that? Rick talks about how Wendy keeps her chickens.

In the second segment of the show, Joe seems to like his new tribe. He talks about building relationships that are strong. Really? We’ve seen him painted as only in the minority this whole time. But he does seem to bound with Ron. Only this is a trap so that he can get someone to look through his stuff. They see that he doesn’t have an idol. Lesu is the name of the new tribe. Rick talks about the new tribe and how they don’t have Wendy to target anymore. Kelley talks about how it sucks to be on a new tribe. Lauren does not seem to be feeling well. She is missing her family.

We then get to Wendy showing her new tribe about their new camp. Aubry is glad that Wendy is the odd person out of her tribe and she reveals dirt on the other tribe she used to have. She talks about the chickens that we know she’s going to release later. Aubry likes Wendy and doesn’t want to see her out of the game yet. Wendy does release the chickens which has to be poor game play. We then get to a terrible storm hitting Extinction Island. Keith wants to raise the mask and leave the game, but has yet to surrender to such a thing. Chris talks about how he doesn’t like being on an island with people that he had helped vote out. Chris gets food for the rest of his “tribe mates.” They still do not know what will happen in the future. This seems like what we could have seen potentially with the outcasts back in Pearl Islands.

In the third segment of the show, Manu members realize that the chickens are gone. Wendy wants to make sure that they escape, but they are still around. It seems like Wendy is the target going into the next vote. We then get to the immunity challenge. Comma comes in first place. Manu comes in second and this sends Lesu to tribal council. Maybe that’s what Manu needed to win immunity was a third tribe so they could come in second. Kelley thinks that her tribe sucks.

In the fourth segment of the show, Rick doesn’t want to vote out anyone on this tribe. Both David and Rick promise not to write each other’s names down. Keep this in mind in case one is a finalist and the other is on the jury. People think that Lauren might be too weak since she isn’t eating. David thinks that Kelley has an idol. The women want to vote out Rick. Kelley wants to work with Wardog. Wardog wants to make sure that he has some ally in the game to work with. It seems like the two women want to work with him and the two other men want to work with him. So who will he choose?

In the fifth segment of the show, we get to tribal council. Rick Devons talks about how they like each other as a tribe, but everything else sucks. Kelley went through a lot in Cambodia. She gets emotional about how close they all are. Rick feels like they have a lot of love for each other. They’re a happy family with a great big hug and a kiss from me to you. David feels like he feared rejection from the world. It is like everyone wants to play.

This is the least drama filled tribal council I can ever remember. Will there be more issues after the vote happens? The votes happen and no idols are played. Rick is the person who is voted out as Wardog must have sided with the women. Rick then arrives at the choice and takes the torch without saying anything about the decision at hand. Thus the episode ends, outside of any credits scene.

On the next Survivor, people want to get rid of Lauren and it seems like someone wants to work with Aubry to get rid of someone. Meanwhile, drama ensues on Extinction Island. Speaking of that place, we get to Rick arriving there and he is not in good graces. Will anyone be welcome on the island? I guess that we will see in the future if someone is or isn’t.

Total confessional count: Eric- 3, Aurora- 2, Lauren- 5, Julie- 2, Kelley- 9, Gavin- 2, David- 9, Joe- 4, Victoria- 5, Aubry- 4, Julia- 0, Ron- 2, Wardog- 7, Rick- 11, Wendy- 9; Reem- 8, Keith- 8, Chris- 4. New confessionals this episode: Aurora- 0, Lauren- 2, Julie- 1, Kelley- 4, Gavin- 0, David- 1, Joe- 1, Victoria- 1, Aubry- 1, Julia- 0, Ron- 1, Wardog- 1, Rick- 4, Wendy- 2, Eric- 1. Extinction Island confessional count: Reem- 1, Keith- 1, Chris- 1.

Rick had four new confessionals this episode. He is tied with Kelley as the highest with everyone else lower than them. The lowest in terms of new confessionals are Julia, Aurora, and Gavin. They are tied for lowest with zero a piece. In terms of total confessionals, Rick had the most with eleven. The next highest are Wendy, Kelley, and David with nine a piece. Everyone else is lower with Julia as the lowest with zero still. When is she going to get airtime? I probably couldn’t pick her out of a line-up. I guess that we will see what happens later and if I’ll keep more track of the confessionals of the people who are on Extinction Island or not. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.

Episode 38.3

Since Lent has started now, this will mean missing a lot of the shows that I care about on Wednesdays. I watch Modern Family and SEAL Team. I might want to watch Million Dollar Mile when it starts. The final season of Jane the Virgin will be on Wednesdays. I might even avoid putting Survivor on tape in favor of other shows and write posts from an alternate laptop that I still have in order to see the episode and still write good posts about it.

Let’s get to talking about the idols from Philippines. There were three idols, hidden as the lids of the rice containers that they all started out with. Jonathan found his tribe’s and was able to use it, saving himself from certain elimination while, for the first time ever, not voting for the person who was then voted out due to the idol play. Abi found the one for her tribe and was able to save herself with it. This one had the extra fireworks due to a person planting the clue for it for others to find. Malcolm found the one for his tribe, but was never able to use it as he was immune anyways the last time it could be played.

Since it is Lent now, I should post about what I’m giving up for it. For the first time since 2013, I will not be giving up all Wikia sites like I normally do. But I will continue my streak of giving up CinemaSins like I have every year since 2015. I will also be giving up CinemaWins, SinsSins, Channel Awesome, and non English status updates on facebook, as they were annoying people and I was running out of them for the moment anyways. All but one of these are YouTube channels.

There’s a lot to think about going into this episode. For one, we don’t yet know what Keith’s decision will be, although promos seem to imply that he’ll take the boat to the island. This is also the last time that Ron will be able to use any of his advantages. If his tribe wins again, they will go to waste. We still will not know what will happen to Wendy. Maybe she will be medically evacuated and I’ll have to come up with yet another way to group these people into a returning player season. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. But enough of my ramblings.

In the first segment of the show, we get to Keith arriving at Extinction Island. Reem wants to make sure that Keith is okay. Bottles arrive for them and they look at them. They are now looking for steps of some sort that they both look for. They get rice, but it is mostly just a day’s rations. They will have to work hard for more rice by doing this every day.

We then get to the tribes arriving for a reward challenge. For once, Comma struggles. Manu wins the challenge and chooses chickens. I wonder why Ron didn’t steal the reward. Wendy talks about how it seems like she was injured at the challenge.

In the second segment of the show, Wendy is brought in by her tribe. The injury seems worse than it might have been starting out. She is emotional and hurting. I guess we’ll see if medical looks at it and what will happen as a result. People want chicken prepared a certain way, but they should know that it can’t be prepared that way with their limited supplies. Wendy wants Rick to set the chickens free. But that is a terrible idea. Don’t they remember Shambo?

Victoria talks about being part of a group of six on her tribe that doesn’t include the returning players that she wants to get out of the game. Joe correctly thinks that he’s on the chopping block. Aubry wants to work with Joe since they realize that they are targets. Aubry is now looking for the idol. Footage from her past two seasons of her looking for an idol are shown. She finds the idol.

We then get back to Manu as Wendy tries to talk about keeping the chickens around. Wardog is talking about how he doesn’t like her because of the whole chicken situation. Kelley thinks that Wendy cast a vote against her at the last tribal council, making her think that it’s kill or be killed.

In the third segment of the show, we get to the immunity challenge and Wendy’s injury is briefly shown with some work possibly on it. Wendy is swimming and yet, able to do well at that point. It seems that Comma is not taking a break from winning. I thought that the whole point of Comma was to take a break in the end. Manu sucks as usual. Comma then wins immunity. David talks about targeting Kelly and he thinks that now is the best time to do it.

In the fourth segment of the show, we get back to Manu after their loss. Wendy thinks that she did well despite her injury. The flint is missing somehow and people correctly think that Wendy took it. Why is she doing this? This is a terrible idea. David still wants Kelley to be voted out. Wendy blames the missing flint on Chris. But does she have a way of setting him up? Does she have plausible deniability?

David is still convincing people to vote out Kelley and they say not to tell Wardog since he could prevent the vote from happening. Wardog wants to vote out Chris. Well, David was right about him potentially ruining the planned vote. Wardog tells Kelley that Chris was targeting her. Kelley then wants to vote out Chris as a result. Rick has the idea that he might now be a villain. He tells David about what Wardog did. But David still thinks that he could go after Kelley and people wouldn’t know that it was him who helped do it.

In the fifth segment of the show, Jeff asks Devin how the tribe is doing and Jeff learns about the missing flint. Wendy didn’t want to eat the chicken. She hasn’t been a vegetarian for long. I can understand why you would want to give up smoking when you start Survivor, but giving up meat? Jeff talks about what he thinks the right vote should be. David talks about getting rid of the best social threat. The people on this tribe think that they are playing a more complicated game than the other tribe. After the votes are cast, it is Chris who gets voted out of the game. He then gets to the choice. Will this be like Pandora’s Box where no one declines the option of getting back in the game? Chris gets back in the boat.

On the next Survivor, Wendy releases the chickens and it looks like they are switching tribes. Chris then goes to Extinction Island with a whole “screw them guys” mentality. I guess that we’ll see more of what happens in the next episode.

Chris had two new confessionals this episode, the same number as Wardog. The only people higher than them were Rick, Wendy, and David, all with three. I’m going to keep them a bit separate than the people on Extinction Island. Everyone else is lower with Ron, Eric, Aurora, Gavin, and Julia as the lowest with zero a piece. As for the total confessional count, Chris had three confessionals, the same number as Joe, Lauren, and Aubry. The people who are higher are Victoria, Kelley, David, Wardog, Rick, and Wendy with the highest being David with eight. The lowest remains Julia with zero. I don’t know if I should be doing a special count of those on Extinction Island in this wrap up section or not. I’ll see what people think. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
