As usual, with schedule
changes on different networks, I might as well explain what shows I like that
are competing with Survivor. I will probably not watch as a result. You see,
Riverdale is still on against it as it was last season. But I do plan to watch
it later online. While The Blacklist is no longer competing with it, I have
decided that I’m no longer interested in the show. Chicago Med now airs against
is so I will be no longer watching it as a result. It wasn’t that interesting
anyways, although I still like it. The Goldbergs is still against it and now it
airs with American Housewife. Guess that I won’t be watching either of them.
We’ll see what else happens with changes in the future.
Sometimes, a person’s life can
fall apart due to no fault of their own. Other times, it does fall apart due to
their own doing. You may have heard about all of the problems that Michael
Skupin from Australia has had. While he recovered from the fire that he
fell into, he still wound up drunk driving a lot. Then, he got incarcerated for
running possessing child pornography and other issues that I can’t spell. I
think that we should pray that he would make better choices in life and not do
anything illegal again.
I don’t know why I thought
that women have found idols more than men. But as long as I am keeping track of
which gender found an idol each season, let’s get with Survivor: Panama. It had
only one idol and it was found by Terry. Thus, the running tally of which
gender found an idol is men: 2, women 0. I will only keep track of who found an
idol in each new season and not count a person if they found more than one
idol. But enough of my ramblings.
In the first segment of the
show, Davie talks about his idol and feeling out of the vote. He talks about
the vote to Christian. The Mason/Dixon line is in control. Well, that’s what
they think for now, anyways. We see Carl wondering about what happened. Bi
thinks that she understand the blindside. I do not know if everyone knows how
the vote went down. People want to vote out Gabby who is wrongly blamed for
being part of the blindside. Things continue to go well on the Goliath tribe. I
am missing some of who is talking in these confessionals. People think that
Natalie is being too bossy. Mike is bonding with Jeremy, but not in a
homosexual way, that’s for sure. Jeremy talks about his grandfather who died of
Alzheimer’s disease. Mike is worried that Jeremy could be bad in some way.
In the second segment of the
show, Christian is talking about slam town. I don’t think that I get this at
first, but then I think he is talking about jail. But how would he know if John
on the other tribe was ever there? Gabby thinks that she in a good alliance
with Christian, but she doesn’t know that she has been the one blamed on the
vote. There is more talk on this tribe about it.
People on the Goliath tribe
worry about a tribe swap that they feel might be coming soon. But I don’t think
that there will be one. Man, I am having an unusually hard time writing this
post. There’s a weird talk that Jeremy did that might get him targeted. Has he never
seen Big Brother? When do group talks end well? Jeremy then tells everyone
about Dan’s idol. It is true, but not everyone sees it as a good move. In fact,
it seems that no one does.
In the third segment of the
show, the rain is pouring down really hard when they have to start the next
challenge. What’s with the crazy weather? I would hope that the rain keeps up.
That way, it won’t come down. The reward is comfort. Why give them conform at
all? Give them tarps. Natalie wants to do the puzzle and others sit out because
of it. This makes me wonder if that will affect the challenge. I think that Bi
hurt her knee. Some woman on the orange tribe did. Sure enough, Natalie isn’t
able to win the challenge. This will affect the game, but will it lead her to
be voted out? Natalia openly talks after the challenge and later in a
confessional about how she feels Natalie should be voted out.
In the fourth segment of the
show, we get back to the David tribe after they win. Gabby is glad that they
one. Bi has an injured knee. Didn’t I speculate that there could be another
medical evacuation? It would be nice to put three women medievacs on one list. Natalie
thinks that she’s in danger. Jeremy thinks that she isn’t self aware which
makes you wonder about someone who acted carelessly before is right about that.
I cannot make sense of all that is going on during this time.
Based on what one of the women
said, I will say that if you don’t want to get a ticket, then don’t speed.
Natalie and Jeremy get into a verbal confrontation of sorts where they are
constantly talking over each other. She is doing a very good job at digging her
own grave. And here I was thinking that James Clement was the person who dug
graves.
In the fifth segment of the
show, we get to tribal council. How do they still have fire there? Will this be
a time like when someone’s torch is already out when they are voted out? They
talk about the weather of the show. Have seasons ever been like this before? I
don’t remember storms being this bad except for maybe the 33rd
season. But that was only a temporary thing. Jeremy goes on a rant about
Natalie and he might not seem that great in the way he does it. I think they
are both bad. They think that neither of
them would be at the other one’s funeral and neither would anyone else on the
tribe. I do not know enough about the four Survivor funerals thus far to see if
former cast members came there or not.
I miss things here when my mother comes
home and talks some. Thus, I miss a lot of what is going on. What is going on
into the vote? John wants to keep the tribe strong. Thus, we get to the vote in
question. No idols are played. Jeremy doesn’t have an idol, does he? It is hard
to keep track of this early into the game. Jeremy is voted out. Why? That doesn’t
make sense. Wait, yes it does. I do not fully get it, though.
On the next Survivor, someone
has reached a breaking point and it seems like there will be a tribe swap this
season after all despite the tribes’ names. I guess we will see for sure what else
happens when the people who are on tribes we barely got to know wind up on
other tribes entirely.
Total confessional count: Davie-
3, Lyrsa- 4, Mike- 8, Nick- 5, Natalia- 3, Carl- 3, Natalie- 6, Jeremy- 7,
John- 4, Christian- 8, Kara- 3, Angelina- 5, Alec- 2, Bi- 3, Elizabeth- 4,
Gabby- 7, Alison- 2, Dan- 3. New confessionals this episode: Kara- 1, Angelina-
2, Alec- 0, Bi- 2, Elizabeth- 0, Gabby- 2, Alison- 1, Dan- 0, Davie- 1, Lyrsa-
0, Mike- 4, Nick- 2, Natalia- 2, Carl- 1, Natalie- 2, Jeremy- 4, John- 1,
Christian- 1.
I wish that I didn’t know for
sure that some numbers are missing. It’s hard to be good at this. Anyways,
Jeremy had seven confessionals this episode, the same number as Gabby. The only
people who have eight confessionals and they are Christian and Mike. Everyone
else is lower than the four of them with Alec and Alison as the lowest with two
apiece. As for the new confessional count, Jeremy had four, the highest of the
episode tied with Mike. The lowest this episode are Lyrsa, Alec, Elizabeth, and
Dan with no new confessionals. I guess that we will wait
until the next episode where a swap with an odd number of people will happen,
making me wonder if a twist besides the swap will be introduced or not.
I’m getting tired of all
of these swaps and they shouldn’t name the tribes what they did and swap the
tribes. Do a season without them for God’s sake! Please? Pretty, pretty please?
Now was your perfect chance. I guess we’ll see if this overused premise can
succeed or fail. I felt swaps were better in earlier seasons. Maybe if they
waited until later or didn’t do it twice, it would be better. Let’s hope this
is the only swap this season. I still like this show, but all these swaps make
me question if I should. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
