Survivor: Gabon episode 5- This Camp is Cursed

I have no idea what all will be outdated in these blog posts by the time that I publish them. I also don’t yet know how far ahead I might be in the posts that I’m writing now for this season by the time that the currently airing season will be done being shown. I kind of like the fact that I can just have these all ready to publish when that season ends. I just won’t know how much will get done just yet. Maybe I will finish the whole season or maybe I’ll just be part of the way through it.

Let’s get to the idol from Ghost Island part 4. Wendell found the idol that was Erik’s immunity necklace from Micronesia. He held onto it until the last time it could be played. Since he was immune, he gave it to Laurel (or was it Yanny?) who then played it and had no votes against her.

The episode was rolled on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, same as the previous one. I didn’t have time to watch much of anything else in the meantime. The late hours with my job combined with people who were working on my house’s roof at the time lead to a general lack of sleep and messed up eating schedule. We’ll see what might change with my jobs later.

We begin at the Fang tribe after tribal council. They think that Sugar hasn’t eaten due to her time on Exile Island. Ace was worried about his life in the game after the vote. Sugar was glad that she is on the tribe with Ace, but noticed that Kelly is still there. Crystal wants to get rid of Sugar. Well, when it comes to a healthy diet, the less sugar, the better.

The Kota tribe gets an electric fish. But it isn’t an eel or something like that. Aren’t those enemies in Banjo Tooie? Randy is liking his new tribe. But he fears that he will be a target along with all of the old members of his tribe. The Fang tribe is gathered to where an elephant is gathered. They all look at it in amazement. What’s the matter? You haven’t seen a grazing elephant before? Matty thinks that it is pretty amazing that they can see the elephant. The people get out on a boat to see it closer.

At the challenge, the members of Kota are shocked to see Jacquie voted out. We then get to the reward challenge in question. They will get herbs, possibly such as parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. They will play something akin to fruit ninja and get all the fruit they catch too if they win. Kota wins the challenge since their fruit weighs more. Sugar is sent to Exile Island again.

The rich are getting richer at Kota. Dan loves his tribe so much that it might seem fake to others. Marcus isn’t sure that these people will have his back at the merge. Randy makes a splash by heading off to the lake by himself. He likes his new tribe a lot.

At Exile Island, Sugar is very happen spending time there by herself. Back at the Fang tribe, Crystal gets on people’s nerves by telling another player to eat their rice. GC get irritated and goes off on his own for a bit. Ace is loving the drama since it isn’t him affected by it. After the tribe gets treemail, Matty talks about the insanity on his tribe. GC is off on his own and the tribe doesn’t know where he is. Will they have to leave without him? Crystal thinks that he was throwing a tantrum. But he does return before the tribe has to leave for the challenge.

The immunity challenge happens next. Ace doesn’t do well at the challenge, partially due to Sugar being bad at directing him. For some reason, Ace listens when Randy tells him to stop moving, despite Randy being on the other tribe.

After their defeat, the Fang tribe returns, bummed after their loss. GC admits that he’s ready to leave the game. Matty says that people pounce on moves like that. Crystal thinks that if he wants to go, he should go. Crystal doesn’t want people who quit. Everyone is told to vote for GC. He’s making this vote really easy for people. But people bring up Sugar possibly having an idol. Crystal looks through her bag and realizes that Sugar has the idol. Is tonight the only night to get rid of Sugar? Ken realizes that she could be in danger now since they know she has the idol. But do they have time for quitters?

We then get to tribal council. GC thinks that he might want to go home. Well, he’d be going elsewhere until he can go home later. He does want to head back home. Sugar is emotional over this as she thinks that they all want to go home. She thinks that she could be the target and brought her bag. But she does have the idol and she doesn’t know that people know she has it. Not much happens at the tribal council in question. After the votes are cast, GC does a throwaway vote for Kelly. Sugar, Ace, Kelly, Crystal, Matty, and Ken all vote for GC and he is voted out of the game as a result.

On the next Survivor, Ace seems to be getting more power including an idol and a new ally. We will see for sure what all happens later as the game. Of course, I already know the gist of what happens this season and will have to see what all will happen again to better remember for sure.

Total confessional count: Dan- 4, Corrine- 6, Bob- 4, Sugar- 7, Randy- 14, Charlie- 10, Marcus- 6, Matty- 7, Susie- 2, Ken- 8, Ace- 9, Crystal- 11, GC- 10, Kelly- 2.

New confessionals this episode: Randy- 2, Charlie- 1, Marcus- 1, Matty- 3, Susie- 0, Ken- 2, Ace- 2, Crystal- 3, GC- 2, Kelly- 0, Dan- 1, Corrine- 0, Bob- 0, Sugar- 2.

GC had quite a terrible performance as a player. He was voted as the leader, but quit pretty early into the whole endeavor. He didn’t really do much and seemed like he quit in the end. He wasn’t a real quitter, but he sure felt like it. Thus, I give him about a 15% chance of returning to the game again. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
