Survivor Legends: My List

The idea for Survivor: Legends is that they would bring back the best players ever. That’s very argumentative. In most seasons with returning players, you have to wonder why many of these people are coming back and at least one of them doesn’t seem to belong with all the others. So I hope that they cast a good season, if they end up using this twist. I heard that this was a plan for the landmark thirtieth season, but it’s not. The thirtieth season will feature all new players. Regardless, I thought that this would still be a good post for my blog. I will give you some people that I think would work for a season like this. I’ll mention everyone I think that it work with some notes here and there. I will also have a list at the end full of the specific contestants that I would choose. Keep in mind that I will only mention contestants that I think would end up playing again. A lot of great players probably won’t be back, whether we know that they’ll decline or that they wouldn’t be back. Plus, since I’m only going with what could be called the greatest players, then this list will exclude a lot of great players that may not be worthy of the term greatest.

Before we get any further, I would like to point out that this list is debatable to even me. I’ll understand if people disagree with it. The real list isn’t until the end, although I do mention who all I think would be good for this list. I might have too many winners on the list and I have a season’s entire final four. It’s not even the season that I have ranked as the best final four out of all the seasons, but I should apologize for the strange list. If you don’t like it, feel free to create your own list sometime. Also, the filming for the thirtieth season wrapped recently (either yesterday or the day before) and while I know nothing about it (besides all new players) I’m not sure that I want to since I could find out things that I don’t want to. I could find out that Cochran wins Caramoan which is a spoiler I learned while Philippines was still airing while trying to find some information about the next season. I’d rather not risk it again. But, I do hope that you enjoy my list of Survivor Legends. Who did I call the best players ever?

Let’s start at the very beginning of the show. From the first season, if they can get Richard, then they shouldn’t do that season without him. Other people from the first season that they could choose from are Gretchen, Greg, Colleen, and Kelly, none of whom might play again. From the second season, good players to have would be Michael, Rodger, Jerri, Elisabeth, Colby, and Tina. From the third season, good players to have would be Ethan, Kelly, Tom, Lex, and Teresa. From the fourth season, good players to have would be Vecepia, Gabriel, Kathy, Neleh, and Paschal. Jake would be a good player from the fifth season, although I don’t remember it that well to know who else would work. From the sixth season, Heidi, Jenna, Rob, and Christy would all be good players to have. From the seventh season, Andrew, Darrah, Lillian, Burton, Rupert, and Sandra would all be good players to have. And I believe that I’ve already mentioned the players I’d want from the eighth season.

Now I get to the ninth season. Chris, Eliza, Twila, and Ami would all make good players from that season. From the tenth season, James, Bobby Jon, Stephanie, Tom, Ian, Gregg, and Coby would all be good players. I don’t know how the eleventh season doesn’t have a returning player yet, but excluding the two people originally from Palau, I would choose Amy, Gary, Cindy, Danni, and Rafe as the players that could work from that season. From the twelfth season, Sally, Cirie, Dan, Shane, Terry, and Aras would be great players to choose from. The thirteenth season has Ozzy, Nate, Becky, Yul, Anh-Tuan, Adam, Jonathan, and Parvati. The fourteenth season has Dreamz, Edgardo, Stacy, Earl, Anthony, Michelle, Rita, and Yau-Man. The fifteenth season has Amanda and Peih-Ghee.

I want to avoid the idea of contestants that should be brought back since they deserve a second chance because they aren’t the typical type of greatest players ever. You see mostly good players as returning players, although there is some overlap on who could work as both. Erik is one of those people. In the sixteenth season, he made a very memorable mistake that overshadowed his previous great game play. And while I already mentioned the favorites from the sixteenth season that would work, I should mention more of the fans, such as Natalie and Alexis. From the seventeenth season, Ken, Matty, Ace, Bob, and Marcus would all be good players. Joe, JT, Stephen, Taj, Coach, Sierra, and Tyson would be good players from the eighteenth season. Jaison, Natalie, Brett, and Laura would be good players from the nineteenth season. I would include Russell Hantz with that, but I think that they wouldn’t have him return to the game.

Since I’ve mentioned everyone from the twentieth season, I might as well get to the twenty-first season. Good players to choose from that are Fabio, Holly, Jane, Marty, and Chase. From the twenty-second season, Ashley, Grant, Matt, and Mike would be good players to have. John, Christine, Edna, and Sophie would be good players from the twenty-third season. Jonas, Leif, Tarzan, Kim, Troyzan, and Monica would be good players from the twenty-fourth season. Denise, Lisa, and Malcolm would be good players from the twenty-fifth season.

Well, after this, we get to the home stretch. As usual, I will only mention players originally from these particular seasons. Who would be good players originally from the twenty-sixth season? I think that we should go with Reynold and Eddie, remembering that I’ve already mentioned all the good players who were favorites that season. The new players from the twenty-seventh season that I would choose would have to be Ciera, Vytas, John, and Hayden. Finally, to cap this list off, the players from the twenty-eighth season that I would choose would be Tony, Kass, Tasha, Spencer, Jeremiah and L J. Now, I need to figure out a list of those people. I’ll have ten men and ten women. I’m not going to worry about what tribes people would be on and just mention the players that I’d want to return.

Here’s the list of men: Richard (Borneo and All-Stars), Michael (Australia and Philippines), Chris (Vanuatu), Tom (Palau and Heroes versus Villains), Terry (Panama), Brett (Samoa), Fabio (Nicaragua), Mike (Redemption Island), Malcolm (Philippines and Caramoan), and Tony (Cagayan). Here’s the list of women: Jerri (Australia, All-Stars, and Heroes versus Villains), Darrah (Pearl Islands), Sandra (Pearl Islands and Heroes versus Villains), Amanda (China, Micronesia, and Heroes versus Villains), Natalie (Micronesia), Laura (Samoa and Blood versus Water), Jane (Nicaragua), Ashley (Redemption Island), Denise (Philippines), and Lisa (Philippines). This list was a bit hard to come up with, but I like it, even if other people disagree with it. This is my cast for a Legends season of Survivor. For the final list, I tried to only include people who were always good players instead of people who were just players for certain games that they played. I also wanted to include every winner on the consideration list, although some are missing because I think that for one reason or another, they wouldn’t return to play the game again. There are also a lot of great players that I didn’t choose because I feel that, at the moment at least, they would not return to the game. I know that I would have four-timers on the list which isn’t that accepted an idea, but I think that it is still good to have these players on the list.
