Team All-Stars

With no post of this blog on Sunday since I hadn’t seen an episode of Gabon or China by then, I thought that I might as well do another random post of this blog that I normally would. You should see one of them every Wednesday there is not a post on Sunday, as an earlier schedule said. Now I’ve done posts of this blog where I try to come up with a team of six people all from the same season to compete in some sort of future season with two tribes of all new players that also have some past connection of some sort between them.

Rules: 1- You cannot pick someone who has played Survivor after this season happened. Since the season that I’m doing this post on is on All-Stars, this means that anyone who was on this season that has played since All-Stars is not playing again on this season at least. 2- You must pick at least one person from all of the tribes that season if and when possible. This would typically mean that both a man and a woman would be picked, but this won’t be the case for Saboga as two men from this tribe have played again and the third is dead. I’m not going to bore you with other rules now. Maybe in a similar post like this in the future.

Let’s get to who I ruled out to get to this list. Since I can’t pick people who have played since All-Stars, this means that I can’t pick Amber, Rob Mariano, Colby, Ethan, Jerri, Rupert, or Tina. I’m not going to pick Rob Cesternino as he is busy with doing a podcast. I’m not picking Sue since she quit. I don’t think that I’ll go with Jenna Morasca either since she also quit, even for much more understandable reasons in the end. Also, Rudy is dead so it would be impossible to include him on Survivor again. Now let’s get to who remains as the six people.

Starting with the men, my first pick would be Tom. I think that he’s still doing well despite being older than some of the other players. I’m also going to go with Lex as well since I think that he would work good as a player. I just hope that he doesn’t have a Mohawk ever again. That hairstyle is worse than mullets are. Richard is my last pick since he should get to return, especially since he was, err, screwed, in a way, out of the all winners season.

Going with my picks for the women on this season, my first pick would be Alicia as she was quite the crazy player and it might actually be nice to see her again. I’m also picking Shii Ann as well since I feel that she would be a good person to be represented as well. Jenna Lewis is my last pick as I don’t know who else would be a good one in my mind at least.

Now I might as well make my case for why contestants from this season should return. Tina is one of the best winners in the minds of many fans so she should get to play some more in future seasons. Jenna Morasca has more that she should be able to do if they let her play the game again. Rob Cesternino loves Survivor a lot and it might be fun for someone else like Stephen Fishbach takes the reins of his podcast for a while so we can see him again. Richard may be controversial, but it would be all the more fun to see him return to the game again and prove himself.

Colby has even more to prove as he could yet again be the good player that he originally was when he had first played in future seasons again. Ethan proved how strong he was in Winners at War and he may yet do the show again. Jerri is strong and likable enough that she should be able to play again and do well the next time too.

Lex can still prove that he’s a great player and person even after many didn’t like him in this season. Kathy has more to prove on Survivor as well, which is why it would be great to see her play the game again. Alicia is still liked enough that she could prove that she wasn’t undeserving of coming back again like her tribe mates thought. Shii Ann has been offered to return past All-Stars so we may yet see here again. Tom is still well liked and should have no problem appearing on the show again.

Rupert is one of the most recognizable Survivor players thus far and should get to return again at some point. Jenna Lewis has more that she can still do outside of Survivor so it would be nice to see her again. Rob Mariano may not be done with the game as I’m sure if they want him back, he’ll come back at some point. Amber remains a bit underrated and should be able to prove herself again if she wants to.

If I could put these people into certain groupings that haven’t already been done, these as the groups that they’d be in: Heroes (Tina, Tom, and Ethan), Villains (Richard, Amber, Alicia, Lex, and Shii Ann), Favorites (Rupert, Jenna Morasca, Rob Cesternino, Tom, Richard, and Ethan), Brains (Rob Cesternino, Richard, Ethan, and Tina), Brawn (Rupert), and Beauty (Amber, Jenna Lewis, and Jenna Morasca).

That’s about it for this post. There isn’t much else to say. I will be back with a post on Gabon this Sunday so don’t worry about missing that yet. Things might be getting strange with this blog since there is a lot for me to write about, but not as much that I have to cover yet. I’ll still need more old seasons on DVD in the future and may yet watch Australia just to ensure that I have something to blog about. I was waiting to blog about Borneo again until later, but might move it up from where it is on the list currently. I do not know yet when or if I’ll get more past seasons on DVD and can only hope that it makes sense for me to add them to some list or another. I’ll figure out what to do and what to write here. For now, this is Adam Decker, signing off.
